Men’s Golf Wraps Up SWAC Championship

FLOWOOD, Miss. – The texas southern men's golf team finished in fourth place at the conclusion of the final round of the 2023 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship at The Refuge Golf Club.

“We have a young team this year, but our guys fought,” Texas southern University head golf coach Willie Shankle said.

Sophomore Joel Sullivan was the top scorer for the tigers with his fourth-place finish and earned All-SWAC Medalist first team Honors with his 3-over 219 (72-72-75). Sophomore Kci Lindskog received All-SWAC Medalist second team Honors with his tied 8^th-place finish after posting a 222 (75-74-73). Senior Devansh Chadha finished tied for 14^th on 225 (76-74-75). Freshman Owen Walsh (75-75-80) and sophomore Caden Holmes (73-78-79) both tied T24 on a 230 total.
 
“I am proud of the efforts they put in and we looking to finish the season off on a high,” Skankle concluded.
