Wilson Wraps Up Season At NCAA Regionals

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The 2023 season came to an end for women’s track and field freshman Alexis Wilson at the NCAA Track & Field first round.

Participating in the triple jump, Wilson’s first attempt came in at 39-1 3/4 feet. She posted her best mark of the night on her second attempt after a mark of 39-6 before wrapping up the event with length of 38-7.

Wilson, a native of Pearland, Texas, was the first TSU women’s track & field student-athlete to earn a NCAA postseason berth since 2018. She earned her way to the preliminary round after a personal-best and first place mark of 12.63 meters (41-5.25 feet) during the SWAC Championship.
