Walsh Top Scorer For Tigers, Men’s Golf Finishes 4th

PRATTVILLE, Ala. – The Texas Southern men’s golf team concluded their efforts with a fourth-place tie at the ASU Spring Classic opening round hosted by Alabama State University.

Freshman Owen Walsh was the top scorer for the Tigers as he finished tied for ninth place individually with his 189 (73-77-39) total.

Senior Devansh Chadha posted a 190 (74-76-40) and sophomore Kci Lindskog did the same, with a 190 (81-74-35) tying them in 12th place.

The ASU Spring Classic took place at the Robert Trent Jones Trail – Capitol Hill on Senator Course and was scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament, however, the second round was suspended due to darkness. As a result, the Classic was shortened to 45 holes of play to accommodate the competing team’s travel schedules on Monday.

The Tigers are back on the road next weekend as they will compete in the Gulf Coast Collegiate hosted by Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
