Men’s Golf Conclude Efforts at Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Texas Southern men’s golf team finished in 11th place at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico State. 

Junior Kci Lindskog led the way for the Tigers with his 226 (69-71-86) and tied for 56th. Lindskog was sitting at 2-under par after his opening two rounds. 

Freshman Matthew VanHoy finished four strokes back on 230 (78-77-75), finishing 4-over-par in his final round. Graduate student Devansh Chadha was one stroke back after a 231 (78-75-78). On the stats side, Texas Southern had the second-highest total of recorded eagles, posting two for the tournament led Kci Lindskog and sophomore Darren Faust, respectfully. 

The Tigers are back in action Monday, Oct. 24 as they compete in their final tournament for the fall, the Latour Intercollegiate hosted by Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
