TSU Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

The Texas Southern University women’s soccer team has announced its 2023 schedule which features 10 home matches.
 
Head coach Lindsay Vera has secured the most home matches at TSU in more than a decade as the Tigers will host one exhibition match and nine regular season contests inside Durley Stadium.
 
The team will hold an exhibition match on Saturday, Aug. 12 against UTRGV before opening the 2023 regular season at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday, Aug. 17. TSU will have three straight home matches starting Sunday, Aug. 20 as they’ll face Abilene Christian, Texas A&M International (Friday, Aug. 25) and St. Mary’s (Sunday, Aug. 27).
 
TSU will hit the road for three straight matches to open the month of September as they’ll travel to McNeese State (Friday, Sept. 1), Nicholls State (Sunday, Sept. 3) and Texas State (Thursday, Sept. 7). The team is back at home for consecutive contests against Houston Christian on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a midweek afternoon contest against Sul Ross State at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.14.
 
TSU heads to Texas A&M on Sunday, Sept.17 for a 7 p.m. start before returning home for the start of its final four home contests against Grambling State (Friday, Sept. 22), UAPB (Sunday, Sept. 24), Alcorn State (Friday, Sept. 29) and Mississippi Valley State (Sunday, Oct. 1)
 
The team will finish out the season on the road over the final three weekends with matches at Southern (Friday, Oct. 13), Jackson State (Sunday, Oct. 15), Alabama State (Friday, Oct. 20) and Alabama A&M (Sunday, Oct. 22). The regular season will commence in Prairie View, Texas as they’ll travel to Prairie View A&M for a 7 p.m. match on Friday, Oct. 27.
 
The 2023 SWAC Tournament will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at a site to be determined.
