Trio of Lady Tigers Earn Top 10 Marks In 2024 Season Opener

Three Lady Tigers posted top-10 finishes while several posted top-five SWAC performances in their 2024 indoor track & field season debuts at the Leonard Hilton Memorial on Friday.

Freshmen Erica Grant (25.46) and Diamond Barrett (25.63) currently rank third and fifth, respectively in the SWAC after their performances in the 200 while sophomore Bayli George posted the third-fastest time in the SWAC in the 400 (58.65) as she finished fifth overall.

Alexis Wilson posted a sixth-place (37-11.5) mark and ranks fourth in SWAC in the triple jump while Ronelle Plaza made her TSU debut with a ninth-place finish in the weight throw (51-0.25). Plaza’s throw currently ranks fourth in the SWAC.

TSU is back in action on Friday at the Samford Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
