TSU stole 11 bases as they swept the series after a 10-4 win over Alcorn State on Sunday.
ASU hit a solo homer to lead the game off but TSU quickly responded in the bottom frame as Jeremy Almaguer drove in Jeremy Gaines followed by CJ Castillo’s RBI double which scored Johnathon Thomas. Castillo would steal third and scored on an ASU error for the final run of the inning.
Designated hitter Tyler Williams led the second off with a double and scored on Tyrese Clayborne’s single. Almaguer would hit his second RBI to score Clayborne followed by Castillo’s RBI double which scored Almaguer.
