Soccer Blanks UAPB 3-0 In SWAC Quarterfinals

It only took less than a minute for the Tigers to score two of three goals in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women’s Soccer quarterfinals against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Texas Southern won a 3-0 decision on Thursday afternoon at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.

Isabella Dillow who was tabbed the SWAC Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Year on Wednesday would net two of the goals while Junior Forward Liliane Class Baez added the other in the victory.
 

How it Happend
>Dillow scored her sixth goal of the season in the 38th minute to put the Tigers on the board 1-0.
>Less than a minute later, Dillow and  Ibukun Lawson would assists Junior Forward Liliane Clase Baez in her fifth goal of the season to put TSU up 2-0 at the half. 
>Back at it again was Dillow who found the back of the net after a penalty kick in the 65th minute.
>Texas Southern’s offense was paced by Dillow who took five shots with four being on goal. She netted two goals and assisted Baez in her goal.
>The Tigers took 19 shots with 14 being on goal, while the Golden Lions just took five shots with four being on goal.
>Alessandra Bastidas played for 81 minutes and tallied four saves.

Texas Southern will face No. 1 Grambling State on Friday at 3 p.m. in the semifinals. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
