Dillow Tabbed SWAC Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Year

Isabella Dillow was tabbed the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Year as the league announced All-SWAC postseason soccer awards on Wednesday evening. All awards were voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.

In her first season at Texas Southern, Dillow has already proven herself to be an aggressive player and  leader on the field having the second most team goals with five, including four in SWAC play against Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley, Southern, and Jackson State. Dillow also sits in the top five of the conference in multiple categories including game-winning goals having two, assists with four, and shots taken with 36 in 16 games played.

The 2023 SWAC Women’s Soccer Quarterfinals begins on Thursday as No. 4 Texas Southern will face No. 5 Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Prairie View, Texas. Kickoff from the PVAMU Soccer Complex is set for 1 p.m.
