Volleyball Ends SWAC Cluster 2 On High Note, Sweeps Valley 3-0

The Texas Southern volleyball team concluded day two of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cluster 2 on a high-note as they swept Mississippi Valley 3-0 on Monday afternoon inside Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center on Monday afternoon.

How It Happen
>Texas Southern (7-20, 7-5 SWAC) won the match with set scores: 25-10, 25-9, 25-14
>The Tigers limited the Devilettes to just under seven kills each set
>TSU won the kill battle, as they went 42-of-81 (.381 hitting percentage)
>Valley went 15-of-78 (-.038 hitting percentage)
>Texas Southern was led by  Kennedy Reed who had 10 kills, and Dallas Balanay-Flores who had 22 assists and eight digs. On the defensive side of the ball Britney Ong added 12 digs

UP NEXT
The Tigers will travel to Baton Rouge, La. to take on Southern on Sunday at 3 p.m.
