Women’s Golf on the Road At Vaquero Invitational

McALLEN, Texas – The Texas Southern women’s golf team will travel five hours south they compete in the Vaquero Invitational hosted by The University of Texas Rio Grande.

The Tigers placed 7th overall at the inaugural Arcis HBCU Collegiate Golf Championship hosted by Arcis Golf last week. Senior Ashlie Hobbs was the top scorer for the team after recording a three-round total of 235 (81-77-77) to finish tied 7th individually. Junior Alexa Gonzales finished 10-strokes back with a 245.

The Vaquero Invitational will take place at McAllen Country Club Monday and Tuesday. The tourney is 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes on Tuesday as the pr for the course is 71.  Play will begin each day at 8:15 a.m.
