Sitanonth In 1st Place As Lady Tigers Extend Their Lead At SWAC Championship

FLOWOOD, Miss. – Sophomore Dili Sitanonth is in first place as the Texas Southern women’s golf team extended their lead over the field at the end of day two of the 2023 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championships.

Sitanonth carded three birdies, six bogeys, and nine pars for her second consecutive 3-over round, giving her a two-day total of 150 (75-75). Junior Ashlie Hobbs is tied in third place on 155 (78-77). Sophomore Miness Siame’s 158 (79-79) places her in sixth place while junior Lyla Vaughn posted a 5-over 77 in her second round and is tied for 10th.

The competing teams are playing at the Refuge Golf Club, a 6,115-yard par-72 championship course. The Tigers tee up for the final round of the SWAC Championships Wednesday morning with an 8:00 a.m. start.
