Tristian Nets First Goal In Loss to UAPB

Kennedy Tristian scored her first goal of the season as the Texas Southern soccer team fell short to Arkansas-Pine Bluff 3-1 on Sunday afternoon inside Alexander Durley Stadium.

How it Happen
•Ashley McGuire scored her first goal of the season for UAPB in the 14th minute assisted by Leanna Saleh
•Tristian scored her first goal of the season in the 72nd minute after taking advantage of a penalty kick, tying the game at a goal a piece
•The Lady Lions quickly responded three minutes later with another goal by McGuire, this time assisted by Emma Peyton
•UAPB sealed the game in the 82nd minute with a goal by Brisha Musungu, assisted by Madison Hernandez

Inside the Numbers
•TSU registered 19 shots with eight being on goal
•UAPB had nine shots with seven being on goal
•Kai Smith tallied five shots with one being on goal for TSU
•The Tiger’s Hajar Benjoud chipped in four shots with two being on goal
•TSU’s Isabella Dillow added three shots with two being on goal
•UAPB was paced by Musungu as she tallied three shots with two being on goal
