Soccer Takes On Texas A&M

The Texas Southern soccer team will travel to College Station, Texas to face Texas A&M on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Texas Southern (1-8) comes into the match after winning 3-1 against Sul Ross State. Three different Tigers scores including Hajar Benjoud, Kourtney Celaya, and Victoria Pucci. Goalkeeper Jaidyn Christophe tallied four saves in the match. 

Series History
•For the first time in history, the two teams will face each other 
•Texas A&M soccer has only faced one other Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) school this season (Grambling State) as they won 8-0 on Sept. 7. 
•The universities are separated by 100 miles

Scouting Report
Texas A&M (3-3-2)  comes into the competition off of a 1-1 draw in conference play against Kentucky. Kate Colvin scored for A&M as she registered her third goal of the season. Goalkeeper Kenna Caldwell leads with 17 saves on the season. Additionally, 10 different Aggies have scored 19 goals this season. 

UP NEXT
The Tigers will begin conference play at home against Grambling State on Sept. 22. Kickoff from Alexander Durley Stadium is set for 6:30.
