Men’s Golf Posts 6th Place Finish In Season Opener

ATLANTA, GA. – The Texas Southern men’s golf team concluded their final round of the Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. HBCU Golf Classic with a 6th place finish.

Junior Liam O’Rourke was the top scorer for the Tigers breaking into the top 10 as he tied for eighth. O’Rourke posted a 1-over-par two-day total of 145 (71-74).

Sophomore Darian Faust finished six strokes back and tied for 21st place on a 151 (74-77). Freshman Matthew VanHoy posted a 154 (76-78) while Junior Kci Lindskog moved up the leaderboard with his 155 (79-76) finish. Sophomore Ravepon Kosalutta carded a 160 two-day total.

The Tigers are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 3 as they compete in the UHV vs. Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M Tri-Match hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria.
