Men’s Golf Places 5th at SWAC Championship, Lindskog Earns First Team Honors

FLOWOOD, Miss. – The Texas Southern men’s golf team finished in fifth place finish following the final round of the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship on Wednesday.

The SWAC Golf Championship was hosted at The Refuge Golf Club where the Tigers posted a 893 (299 – 298 – 296).

Junior Kci Lindskog tied for fifth place individually and received All-SWAC Medalist First Team Honors for his 3-over-par three-day total of 219 (73 – 72 – 74). Lindskog’s final round included three consecutive birdies, 11 pars, three drops, and a double. Freshman Matthew VanHoy finished tied 13th on 223 (79 – 71 – 73), including a 1-under-par second round. Junior Liam O’Rourke posted a 226 (73 – 79 – 74) to finish tied 18th while sophomore Darian Faust was one stroke back on 227 (76 – 76 – 75). Ravepon Kosalutte posted a 235 (77 – 81 – 77).

The SWAC Championship concludes the regular season for the Tigers. They return to the links in a few weeks as they gear up to compete in the 2024 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC). The event will be played May 6-8, at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
