Chadha, Lindskog At Even-Par After Opening Rounds Of Local Tournament

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Texas Southern men’s golf team is in 12th place at the end of day one of the HCU Colin Montgomerie Invitational hosted by Houston Christian University.

Senior Devansh Chadha and sophomore Kci Lindskog are tied in 22nd place following their even-par opening rounds.

Chadha lit up his scorecard with five birdies in his first round to finish on a 2-under-70 followed up with a 2-over 74 on his second 18 for a 144 opening-day total. Lindskog started his day one over then posted four birdies in his second round to conclude the day on an even par, 144.

Freshman Owen Walsh had a 6-over total of 150 (74-76) while sophomore Caden Holmes was two strokes back on 152 (75-77).

The competing teams are playing at Sweetwater Country Club which is a 7,154-yard par-72 championship course. The final round of the tournament will commence with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
