Women’s Golf Captures Co-Title, Hobbs 2nd Overall At Gulf Shores Invitational

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Texas Southern women’s golf team finished in a first place tie following the final round of the Gulf Shores Invitational hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association.

Junior Ashlie Howard-Hobbs was the top scorer for the Tigers with her 2nd-place individual finish on 238 (76-79-83). Sophomore Dili Sitanonth was two strokes back on 240 (81-81-78) and finished in third place.

The Tigers return to action in April when they compete in the Lamar Cardinal Challenge hosted by Lamar University. The competing teams will be playing at Beaumont Country Club in Beaumont, Texas.
