Volleyball Concludes Season Series Against Grambling

Kennedy Reed had a match-high 11 kills and Britney Ong had a match-high 18 digs, but it wasn’t enough as the Texas Southern volleyball team concluded the season series against Grambling State, falling 3-1 on Sunday evening inside the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

Texas Southern (5-18 Overall, 5-3 SWAC) dropped the match: 11-25, 28-26, 17-25, 22-25.

How it Happened
•Kennedy notched a double-double as she paced TSU with 11 kills and 12 digs. Ava Ray and Dallas Balanay-Flores each had 10 assists while Ryan Henderson tallied 16 digs.
•Grambling State’s offense was paced by Zyonn Smith who had nine kills.
•GSU had a slight 43-40 kill advantage over TSU
•Two GSU players had double figure assists including Ana Calderon with 24 and Jaida Felix with 13

Up Next
Texas Southern will remain on the road and travel to Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Monday as they take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
