Soccer Drops Road Opener

SAN ANTONIO – TSU soccer dropped its first road trip of the season as they fell at UTSA on Sunday.
 
Both teams traded shots within the first 10 minutes of the first half as sophomore Hayden McMillan recorded the team’s first shot attempt which was saved by UTSA.
 
Four minutes later, UTSA would score the game’s first goal for a 1-0 lead. From that point, UTSA would extend its offense as they reeled off four more shots before scoring it’s second goal in the 14th minute. UTSA would add two more goals over the next 10 minutes as they claimed a 4-0 halftime lead.
 
The Roadrunners added a pair of goals within the first three minutes of the second half before scoring their final goal in the 76th minute for the final outcome.
 
McMillan had TSU’s lone shot attempt while goalie Jaidyn Christophe posted eight saves.
 
TSU is back in action at Lamar on Thursday in Beaumont, Texas for a 7:30 p.m. start.
