Soccer Concludes Non-Conference Play With Loss To Texas A&M

The Texas Southern soccer concluded non-conference play against Texas A&M as they fell 10-0 at Ellis Field on Sunday evening. 

How It Happen:
A&M scored its first two goals within the first eight minutes of action as Andersen Williams scored in the 3rd minute and Quinn Cornog scored in the 8th minute. 

The Aggies pushed its lead going to the half with two more goals to lead 4-0.

Goalie Jaidyn Christophe registered seven saves in the first half. 

After a Tigers’ foul at the beginning of the the second half, the Aggies took advantage of a penalty kick to lead 5-0. 

The Aggies registered 23 shots in the second half, which proved to be too much for the tigers as they profited five more goals to win the game 10-0. 

Isabella Dillow paced the Tigers with three shots with one being on goal. Hajar Benjoud and Akiya Saine chipped in one shot each.

Christophe tallied 12 saves total, while Alyssa Hart added four in 28 minutes of action. 

Up Next
The Tigers will begin  conference play against Grambling State on Friday, Sept. 22. Kickoff from Alexander Durley Stadium begins at 6:30 p.m.
