Pucci Scores In 1-1 Draw At Southern

Pucci scored a goal as the Texas Southern soccer team had a 1-1 draw against Southern University  Friday evening in A.W Mumford Stadium.

How it Happened 
>Southern struck first early on in the 3rd minute as Sheryah Gavel would net her first of the season. 
>Senior Forward Pucci would tie the game in the 5th minute as she took advantage of a penalty kick. 
>TSU Goalkeepers’ Jaidyn Christophe and Alessandra Bastidas split time in the back of the net as Christophe tallied two saves while Bastidas had four. 

Inside the Numbers 
>TSU registered three shots with three being on goal 
>SU had 11 shots with eight being on goal 
>The Tigers had seven corner kicks
>The Lady Jaguars had six corner kicks 
>SU Goalkeeper Sydney Bellamy played a full game while registering two saves 

UP NEXT
Texas Southern will travel to Jackson, Miss. on Sunday to take on Jackson State. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. at the JSU Soccer Field.
