Men’s golf team competes at Golden Lion Classic

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Paced by Grant Everson’s final tally of 7-over-par 151, the Tigers of Texas Southern University took third place at the Golden Lion Classic this week.
 
At Harbor Oaks Golf Course, Everson turned in rounds of 74 and 77 to finish fifth individually out of 21 competitors at the Golden Lion Classic. TSU’s four-man squad turned in three rounds of 74 or better during the two-day event.
 
Travis Edwards carded a 72 for the Tigers during the first round Monday. He finished with a two-day score of 158, which ranked second on the team and eighth among all individual competitors.
 
TSU’s Tanner Skiles turned in a 74 round on Tuesday, giving him a final tally of 160. Ross Elliot finished with a two-day score of 202 for the Tigers.
 
TSU finished with a combined team score of 671. Arkansas–Pine Bluff won the event with a combined score of 597.
