Men’s Golf Prepares For Final Tournament Of Fall Campaign

MATHEWS, La. – The Texas Southern men’s golf team is back in action this week as they compete in the Latour Intercollegiate hosted by Nicholls State University.

The Tigers finished in 11th place at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico State last week. Junior Kci Lindskog led the way for the Tigers with his 226 (69-71-86) and tied for 56th. Lindskog was sitting at 2-under par after his opening two rounds. Freshman Matthew VanHoy finished four strokes back on 230 (78-77-75), finishing 4-over-par in his final round. Graduate student Devansh Chadha was one stroke back after a 231 (78-75-78).

10 teams will compete in the Latour Intercollegiate, beginning Monday. Nicholls State University will be joined by HCU, Mobile, New Orleans, Prairie View A&M, Southeastern, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas Southern, and UIW.

The Latour Intercollegiate is scheduled to be held at LaTour Golf Club in Mathews, La. The tournament will be a 54-hole format teeing up with a 36-hole round on day Monday and the final round on Tuesday.
