Men’s Golf Places 2nd At UHV Tri-Match

VICTORIA, Texas – Texas Southern Men’s Golf team posted a one-day 292 and finished in 2nd place following the conclusion of the 2023 UHV/Texas Southern/Prairie View A&M Tri-Match hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria.

Freshman Matthew VanHoy was the top scorer for the Tigers with his 2-under total of 70. VanHoy carded 4 birdies, 12 pars, and 2 bogeys to finish in third place individually.

Sophomore Darian Faust finished three shots back with a 1-over 73 and came in fifth place. Graduate student Devansh Chadha carded a 2-over 74 to place sixth while junior Kci Lindskog finished one stroke back on 75 and in seventh place individually. Sophomore Ravepon Kosalutta played as an individual and carded a 4-over 76.

The Tigers are back in action Oct. 16-17 when they compete in the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico State.
