Men’s Golf In 3rd Place After Opening Rounds At Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Texas Southern men’s golf stands in third place following the opening rounds of the Gulf Shores Invitational hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association.

Freshman Owen Walsh is tied 6th and leads the way for the Tigers at the end of his 36-hole day one on 159 (81-78). Sophomores Joel Sullivan and Kci Lindskog are one shot back and tied in 7th place.

The competing teams are playing at The Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club which is a 6693-yard par-72 championship course. The final round of the tournament will commence with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
