Women’s Golf On Top Of Leaderboard, Hobbs Individual Leader After Opening Rounds

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Texas Southern women’s golf team is in first place following the opening rounds of the Gulf Shores Invitational hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association.

Junior Ashlie Howard-Hobbs holds the individual lead after posting a day one total of 155 (76-79) and is two strokes ahead of the field.

Sophomore Dili Sitanonth is three strokes back and in third place after carding a 158 (79-79) total.

The competing teams are playing at The Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club which is a 5889 -yard par-72 championship course. The final round of the tournament will commence with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
