Men’s Basketball Games At Alcorn State, Southern Postponed

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Texas Southern men’s basketball SWAC openers at Alcorn State and Southern on Jan. 2 and 4 has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test and subsequent quarantining of student-athletes within the program.

The action follows the guidelines and protocols set by the league and its COVID-19 Advisory Committee. Make up dates for the games have not been determined at this time.

The women’s basketball contests are still scheduled to be played as Saturday’s game tips off at 3 p.m. at Alcorn State followed by a 5 p.m. start on Monday at Southern.
