Christophe Tabbed SWAC Goalkeeper Of The Week As Soccer Takes On Sul Ross

The Texas Southern soccer team will look to break Sul Ross State’s two-game winning streak as they will face them on Thursday at Alexander Durley Stadium at 6 p.m. 

Texas Southern (0-8) comes into the competition after falling 2-0 to Houston Christian on Sunday.

In the match, Jayden Christophe registered 12 saves while seeing all 90 minutes of action. For her gallant effort, she was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Goalkeeper of the Week. 

•For the first time in history, Texas Southern will face Sul Ross State. 
•The Universities are  separated by 574  miles.

Sul Ross State (2-2) comes into the match on a two-game winning streak with its last win being 2-0 against Centenary College on Sunday. Alexis Rodgers and Daniela Ibarra scored for the Lobos. Additionally, the team tallied 22 shots, with seven coming at the goal.

TSU will travel to College Station, Texas to take on Texas A&M on Sunday. Kickoff at Ellis Field is set for 6 p.m.
