Women’s Golf Wraps Up Play In Katy

KATY, Texas – The Texas Southern women’s golf team finished tied for fifth place at the 2024 National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship hosted by the Women’s In Golf Foundation on Wednesday.

Junior Alexa Gonzalez was the top scorer for the Tigers as she finished tied in 19th place individually on 244 (80 – 75 – 89). Teammate Miness Siame was six strokes back on 250 (82 -83 – 85).

The WIGF National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship was hosted at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch with a 54-hole tournament format over three days. The Tigers conclude their regular season as they defend their title at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship on April 15-17 in Flowood, Miss.
