Frederick And Legendre Hits 3-Run Homers In Game Two Win Against Alcorn

Nasir Frederick and Tyler Legendre both hit 3-run, 2-out homers as the Tigers beat Alcorn State, 8-3 inside MacGregor Park in the second game of a three-game weekend series.

Texas Southern picked up one run in the second inning as Nin Burns, ll singled then advanced on a balk. He moved another on a sacrifice bunt by Frederick then scored on a passed ball.

The Braves scored two runs on three hits at the top of the sixth to take a 2-1 lead. At the bottom of the frame, Jordan Vidato walked and advanced on a Jaden Jones single. On two outs, Frederick homered to center field as the Tigers reclaimed the lead, 4-2.

Legendre followed up at the bottom of the seventh with a 3-run homer with two outs to put the game out of reach for the Braves.

Alford Dalton picked up the win for Texas Southern in  seven innings as he struckout three and walked four. Kewan Brazil pitched seven innings for the Braves as he took the loss, striking out three and walking two.
