Volleyball Wraps Up UNF Tournament With Loss to Louisiana

The Texas Southern University volleyball team wrapped up the North Florida Invitational falling 3-0 to Louisiana on Saturday morning.

The Rajin’ Cajuns won the matches: 25-16, 25-23, 25-15.

“The overall tournament was a huge learning experience for everybody,” Head Coach Austin said. “We definitely have to figure out a way to get over the hump as far as getting to the winning side. We’ve seen many games and sets where we’re very close, but we always try to keep the momentum going once we get to 14-15 points. Some how we lose that momentum for a second and we’re fighting to get our lead back to get the win. Overall I feel like it was a really good tournament, really good competition and honestly all of this is preparing us for conference and I’m really excited about where we’re going as a team.

Gracie Hill led TSU with 10 kills, followed Kennedy Reed with nine. Dallas Balanay-Flores and Ava Ray added 16 and 11 assists.

ULL was paced by Celeste Darling who registered 16 kills. Siena Decambra had a game-high 41 assists.
