Soccer Victorious In Match Against Alabama State

The Texas Southern soccer team came out victorious after a 2-1 win over Alabama State in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Friday evening. 

Texas Southern is now 5-11-1 Overall, 4-2-1 SWAC. 

How It Happen
>Isabella Dillow opened scoring in the 10th minute, shooting one in the back of the net with the assists coming from Victoria Pucci. 
>Madison Chanbers of the Lady Hornets tied the match in the 57th minute on an unassisted goal. 
>Liliane Clase Baez would net the final goal in the 61st minute after a goal assisted by Hajar Benjoud.
>TSU goalkeeper, Jaidyn Christophe played the first half and registered five saves, while Alessandra Bastidas played the second half, tallying one save, respectfully. 

Inside the Numbers 
>Texas Southern took 22 shots with 11 being on goal
>Alabama State had 16 shots with seven being on goal 
>TSU registered six saves 
>ASU tallied nine saves 
>Both teams had three corners kicks

Texas Southern will take on Alabama A&M on Sunday. Kickoff from Bulldog Soccer Field is set for 1 p.m.
