Men’s Golf In 6th, Walsh 8th Overall After Opening Round Of ASU Spring Classic

PRATTVILLE, Ala. – Texas Southern men’s golf team is in sixth place following the opening round of the ASU Spring Classic hosted by Alabama State University.

Freshman Owen Walsh is in the lead for the Tigers following his 1-over-73 round. Senior Devansh Chadha is one stroke back posting a 74 and tied for 9th. Sophomore Caden Holmes is tied for 15th with 3-over 75.

The ASU Spring Classic is taking place at the Robert Trent Jones Trail – Capitol Hill on Senator Course and was scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament. However, the second round was suspended due to darkness. As a result, the Classic will be shortened to 45 holes of play to accommodate the competing team’s travel schedules.

The conclusion of the second round will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the final nine holes of play immediately after.
