Johnstone Leads The Way For Tigers After Day 1 of Aggie Invitational

Senior Landon Johnstone is in fourth-place individually after the opening rounds of the Grant Thornton Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T State University.

Johnstone ended the day 5-over par after posting a score of 149 (75-74). Freshman Kci Lindskog fired a 1-over par 73 in his second round while junior Devansh Chadha shot 77 to end the day.

“My senior played well, and I am ecstatic about his performance,” Texas Southern University head golf coach Dr. Gary Grandison said.

The Tigers are currently placed fifth in the tournament.

“Conditions were rough, and with such a young team, we need these experiences to better develop as a program,” Dr. Grandison concluded.

The men’s golf team will conclude their efforts in the final round Tuesday morning with a 9 am shotgun start at Bryan Park’s Champions Course.
