HENDERSON SCORES FIRST CAREER GOAL IN LOSS TO NSU

Freshman forward Rayal Henderson scored her first career goal but Nicholls State University scored four unanswered goals to hand TSU a 4-1 loss Sunday evening at the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex. 

NSU struck hard in the first half scoring its first three goals in a 12 minute span (23rd, 26th, 34th minutes). 

Henderson’s lone goal was scored in the 35th minute of the first half, with the assist coming from Isabella Dillow. 

The Colonels final goal was in the 51st minute as Kinga Koronkiewicz took advantage of a penalty kick to seal the match.

Jaidyn Christophe saw all 90 minutes of action while registering four saves for the evening. 

As a team, TSU had 11 shots with five of them being on goal. 

Texas Southern will face Texas State on Thursday. Kickoff at the Bobcat Soccer Complex is set for 7:30 p.m
