TSU Basketball Games To Appear On NBA TV Back-To-Back Weekends In February

Texas Southern men’s and women’s basketball will open the month of February on the national stage as both teams will have games on NBA TV the weekends of Feb. 5 and 12.
TSU’s basketball doubleheader at Florida A&M on Saturday, Feb. 5 will kick off TSU’s NBA TV’s coverage. The contest will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the men’s contest at 3:30 p.m.
The following weekend, TSU will host Grambling State inside the H&PE Arena for its second NBA TV doubleheader. As a result of the coverage, TSU will adjust its times as the women’s game will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the men’s contest at 3:30 p.m.
“We are excited to showcase the university as a whole and our basketball programs to the nation on NBA TV,” said Vice President for Collegiate Athletics Kevin Granger. “We would like to thank the NBA and SWAC for its assistance in organizing the event as we plan on taking full advantage of this wonderful opportunity.”
Pregame, halftime and postgame studio coverage on Saturday, Feb. 5 will be led by Stephanie Ready starting at 12:30 p.m., with analysts Renee Montgomery and Sam Mitchell. The following week, Ro Parrish will host studio coverage with analysts Grant Hill and Rick Mahorn on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 12:30 p.m.
