Bowling Closes Out Strong At Colonial Classic

TSU wrapped up its second bowling tournament of the year as they participated at the Colonial Lanes Classic in Harahan, La.

TSU dropped its first three matches on the first day of Baker Match action as they fell to North Carolina A&T State, Southern and Alabama A&M. The team bounced back with a pair of wins over Alabama-Birmingham and Florida A&M to end the day. The team had a tough second day as they dropped traditional matches to Maryland Eastern Shore, Louisiana Tech, Jackson State, Sam Houston State and Prairie View A&M.
 
However, TSU bounced back on Sunday with a pair of 4-0 sweeps over Alabama State and Florida A&M to finish 13th overall.
 
Shyanne Ciesiolka was TSU’s top performer with a 179 as she had TSU’s highest score with a 220 in the first traditional match. Cassie De La Fuente followed with a 173.6 as she bowled a 208 in the second traditional match.
 
TSU is back in action for an exhibition match at Prairie View A&M on Saturday ay 10 a.m.
