BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Texas Southern's Kali Fluke (San Antonio, Texas) and Prairie View's LaKeisha Allen (McAllen, Texas/Rowe), Ana Kiso (Belgrade, Serbia/Panola College) and MoKeysha Shanklin (Austin, Texas/Georgetown) as the student-athletes of the week for their outstanding performances in competition between September 30-October 5.

After racking up 14 kills vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Fluke has been named offensive student-athlete of the week.  She also recorded two solo blocks and one block assist as the Texas Southern Lady Tigers remained unbeaten in league play with a 3-1 victory over the Lady Lions.

Allen was named defensive student-athlete of the week after leading the Lady Panthers with 27 digs (4.5 digs per set) during a 1-1 week. She dug 15 opposition attacks in Prairie View's SWAC west division opener at Texas Southern. She currently ranks third in the league with 3.51 digs per set.

Kiso received setter of the week honors for the second time this season and has been recognized by the SWAC three times overall. She paced the Lady Panthers by handing out 59 assists (9.83 assists per set) over the weekend. A versatile player on the court, she also registered 11 digs. In Prairie View A&M's sweep of Huston-Tillotson, she handed out 32 assists and dug five attacks. Kiso leads the SWAC with 8.34 assists per set.

Shanklin has been named newcomer of the week.  She led the Lady Panthers in kills in both of their matches during a 1-1 week. Shanklin knocked down 20 kills and committed only seven errors on 46 attempts, good for a .283 hitting percentage and a rate of 3.33 kills per set. Her 11 kills during a three-set win at home over Huston-Tillotson marked a career high.
