NEW ORLEANS - The Texas Southern Lady Tigers performed in their second meet of the season. The meet was hosted by Tulane University this past weekend for its fifth annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Invitational at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner, LA.

Sophomore Samantha Kriner was the top finisher for the Lady Tigers with an average score of 193.

"Sam's performance this weekend was very remarkable", said Head Coach Sabrina Duncan-Rose.

Coach Rose added, "She is very essential to the team, and her performance this weekend was beneficial in every match. Sam did a great job, and we are excited for her and the team in our upcoming tournaments."

The Lady Tigers took home 12th place, but Coach Rose still felt good about the team's progress thus far saying, "The team is progressing well and steady. We have a young, youthful group of women that are working to improve and advance their game."

Coach Rose also feels good about the future of the Lady Tigers, "The chemistry of the team is great. For the upcoming tournaments we are expecting our team to win tournaments and bring a lot of competition to the other competing NCAA programs."

The Lady Tigers are set to compete in the Track Kat Klash next month, hosted by Sam Houston State University here in Houston, TX on November 3rd – 5th.
