PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Shawntayla Harris' layup with two seconds remaining completed a fourth-quarter comeback Monday and lifted Arkansas–Pine Bluff to a 61-59 win over the Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University.

The Lady Tigers (15-10, 10-4 SWAC) saw their three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference winning streak snapped as the host Lady Lions erased two six-point leads in the final quarter.

Kaitlyn Palmer scored a career-high 29 points – including a 7-of-11 showing from 3-point range – to lead the Lady Tigers. Her seven 3-pointers were one off her career high, and moved her into seventh place on TSU's all-time list with 134 career treys, two ahead of Zelda Bowman (1991-93).

It was a jumper from Palmer with 2:28 remaining in the game that put the Lady Tigers ahead 59-55. Pine Bluff was able to claw its way back after forcing four TSU turnovers in the final two minutes. It was the first loss in 13 games in which the Lady Tigers had led after three quarters, and first time in 15 games this season in which TSU lost a game in which it led with five minutes remaining.

Joyce Kennerson scored 16 points for the Lady Tigers. Faith Ohanta scored 20 points for Arkansas–Pine Bluff (6-19, 4-11 SWAC). The Lady Lions avenged a 58-52 loss to TSU in Houston last month.

Pine Bluff took a 31-26 lead into halftime, but TSU reclaimed the lead after three periods with a 24-point outburst. Palmer scored 11 points during the third period, which included shooting 3-of-4 from 3-point range; Kennerson chipped in nine points during the period.

The Lady Tigers return home for their final regular-season home games this weekend, beginning with Saturday's contest against Alabama A&M. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
