HOUSTON – The Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University completed a three-game sweep of Grambling State with a 10-2 win Saturday.

With the win, Texas Southern (12-21) remained undefeated in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's West Division with a 10-0 record.

The Lady Tigers scored in all five innings played during the run-rule victory. Terren Vinson helped the Lady Tigers get on the board early by drawing leadoff walk, stealing second and third bases, and then coming home on Julia Bilbao's RBI groundout. Tevanae Tate then hit a solo home run to give TSU a 2-0 lead after an inning of play.

A'Leecia Bell and Madi Marek each knocked two RBIs. Both of Bell's RBIs came on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning; Ashling Shahan and Ebony Wiltz were awarded home when GSU's centerfielder Tyra Triplett fell over the temporary fencing to make the catch.

Naomi Reyes earned her second victory of the series in the pitching circle, throwing four innings and striking out six batters. Bailey Daniels tossed a scoreless fifth inning for the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers return to action Wednesday when they host Stephen F. Austin. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
