HARAHAN, La. – Texas Southern kicked off the 2023 bowling season at the 2023 Colonial Classic hosted by Tulane University.
The Tigers finished 0-5 and stands in 13th place overall after the first day of action in Baker play as the event was decided by total pins. TSU had 4,377 total pins and averaged 175.1 pins per contest.
The Tigers opened the day with a loss to Florida A&M (905-782) and dropped a close decision (901-877) to Maryland Eastern Shore in game two. TSU fell to Prairie View A&M 897-860, Southern (909-902) and North Carolina A&T (1,135-896).
TSU starts traditional play on Saturday as they’ll face UAB, Alabama State, Emmanuel, Sam Houston State and Alabama A&M.
