Conference News & Notes


  • Alabama State and Jackson State are the only teams in the conference to come up with victories so far this season.  They both have two wins.
  • Arkansas-Pine Bluff is avering 13.20 saves a game with a total of 66 which ranks them first in the conference.
  • Only five teams (Alabama State, Howard, Jackson State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Prairie View) have scored goals so far this season.
  • Alabama A&M and Alabama State will both be on the road this weekend traveling to South Carolina. AAMU faces WInthrop and ASU travels to Presbyterian.
  • Howard, Prairie View and Arkansas-Pine Bluff are the only  teams hosting matches this weekend.
  • Kylee Hathaway (Alabama State) was named Goalkeeper of the week for the second time straight this season.  She has also been selected as a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award which is presented by the NCAA.
  • Brittany Roberts (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) had a game high of 17 saves during their match against Louisiana-Monroe on September 3.  She is averaging 14 saves per game.
  • Mississippi Valley’s Josee Primeau is leading the conference in shots, averaging 2.75 a game.
  • Southern, Grambling State, Alcorn State and Mississippi Valley are the only schools not playing games this weekend.
  • Mississippi Valley State gave up 15 goals in their loss in Sunday’s match against Jacksonville State.
