The Texas Higher Education Coordination Board has approved the creation of the Texas Physics Consortium, a unique collaboration among physics programs at several Texas universities. The program will combine faculty expertise and resources at Tarleton, West Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Prairie View A&M University, Texas Southern University and Midwestern State University. The consortium, which will jointly award bachelor of science degrees in physics, will greatly increase opportunities for physics students at a substantial cost savings, said Tarleton’s Dr. Dan Marble, associate professor of physics and director of the consortium. “
