Women’s Golf Wins Birmingham Spring Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The TSU women’s golf team won its first tournament of the 2020 season as they captured the Birmingham Spring Invitational.
 
TSU’s Rev Alcantara finished the first day second overall after shooting a 79 while posting the seventh-lowest score in round two en route to a fourth-place finish overall. Teammate Destany Burbank placed seventh overall as she closed out the tournament with the fourth-lowest score of the afternoon in the final round. Carly Moore also had a strong opening round with the fifth-lowest score.
 
The Tigers finished second after the first round but closed out the tournament strong with the lowest score in the final round.
