Volleyball’s Caitlyn Roland Named SWAC Defensive Player Of The Week

Texas Southern volleyball student-athlete Caitlyn Roland was named the SWAC’s Defensive Player of the Week.

The junior from Birmingham, Ala. finished the weekend tied for the team lead with 34 digs in two matches. She had 17 digs during matches against Alcorn State and Southern as TSU opened SWAC play 2-0. Roland also finished the weekend with three blocks.

TSU is back in action next Wednesday as they’ll face Prairie View A&M at 6:30 p.m. inside the H&PE Arena.
