TSU Track & Field Teams Receives New Equipment For Upcoming Season

The Texas Southern track and field programs received a dose of good news recently with the arrival of new equipment and the completion of the long jump pit inside Durley Stadium.

The team received brand new high jump and pole vaults pits for its student-athletes to use in both practice and competitions. The four long jump pits are also new as the area was relocated from the existing track to an area behind the east side bleachers close to the Tiger Walk.

“I want to thank everyone involved in helping us upgrade our track and field equipment for both of our teams,” said TSU Vice President Of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Kevin Granger. “We will continue to make upgrades to our facilities in the future to ensure our student-athletes are equipped with the necessary resources to compete for championships on a consistent basis.”
