TSU Tiger Camp: Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ceasar Talks About The Play Of The Defense

“The kids have been responding well as we're just trying to give them their assignments so they can follow through with it on gameday,” said Ceasar. “That's what Coach McKinney has been preaching and our job is to ensure they take in what we teach.”

A lake charles, La. native, Ceasar is a graduate of Grambling State and played under legendary head coach Eddie Robinson. Seven starters return on a unit which ranked seventh in  the swac in total defense. A former defensive lineman, one area he'll have to address is the pass rush as the tigers generated only nine sacks on the season. While the team rebuilds up front, the defense did tie for third in the SWAC with 12 interceptions.
