Trip To Alabama Awaits Women’s Basketball This Weekend

With postseason on the horizon, the TSU women’s basketball team looks to continue its winning ways as they begin a two-game trip to the state of Alabama. The trip kicks off in Montgomery, Ala. against the Hornets of Alabama State at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

TSU successfully defended its homecourt this past weekend with wins against Mississippi Valley State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Tigers rode the hot hand of its backcourt as Ataiya Bridges, Janay Bojorquez, Te’Aire Hambrick and Quatera Limbrick all had solid outings and will be counted on to lead the team down the stretch. Bridges leads the team wth 17 points per game followed by 12 from Hambrick and 9.2 from Limbrick. Bridges also averages 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.5 steals while Bojorquez follows wtih 2.9 assists.
